At our core, we believe in turning bold ideas into real businesses — not just through inspiration, but through access: to funding, to strategy, to clear, actionable information that drives results. Our mission is to close the gap that has long kept women of color on the outside of entrepreneurial success stories, despite having the vision, the work ethic, and the resilience to lead them.
Founded by Khila James, a multi-business entrepreneur with over $3 million in revenue across ventures, OVIDIA. was born from lived experience. Khila started her first business as a college student, scaled another to six figures before graduation, and spent years consulting for founders — witnessing firsthand how women of color were being underserved by a system that wasn’t designed for them. From biased lending practices to overpriced, underqualified business coaches, the barriers were clear. So was the opportunity to create something better.
What began as a frustration became a fire. And that fire became OVIDIA.
Today, OVIDIA. exists to cut through the noise and give women of color founders the insights and tools they need to thrive — all rooted in credibility, clarity, and community. We’re rewriting the rules by putting power back in the hands of the people who’ve always had the ideas — just not the access. We know that when women of color are equipped with the right resources, they don’t just launch businesses — they build movements, legacies, and change.
